Fall is rapidly approaching and my calendar is already getting full. It may not mean much to you, but to me, it means FLEA MARKETS!
One of my favorite things about fall is going hunting for treasures at local antique shows and flea markets. Last year my mom and I went to the Country Living Fair in Columbus, OH and will again this year and I’m so excited!
I rounded up a list of the top fall flea markets across the country and highlighted some that I have been to that I personally love. If you weren’t excited yet for fall, I think it is time that you are!
Country Living Fairs – Various
I mentioned the Country Living Fair so of course it tops my list! They hold it in Nashville, TN in April, Rhinebeck, NY in June, Columbus, OH in September, and Atlanta, GA in October. The upcoming dates are September 15-17 and October 27-29.
The fairs have antiques, handmade items, amazing food, classes to attend, and gorgeous set ups!
Nashville Fairground Flea Market – Nashville, TN
The Nashville Flea Market is monthly. Their upcoming dates are: August 25-27th, September 22-24, October 27-29, November 24-26, and December 15-17. There are approximately 2,000 vendors and 35,000 in attendance over the weekend.
Alameda Points Antique Faire – Alameda, CA
Held on the first Sunday of the month, The Alameda Points Antique Faire has over 800 vendors and every item has to be over 20 years old. The Faire is noted to be the largest antique show in Northern California. The next event is scheduled for September 3rd.
Long Beach Antique Market – Long Beach, CA
This is also held monthly on Sundays, but on the 3rd Sunday of the month. There are about 800 vendors each month. If you head to their website, you can get an admission discount coupon! The next dates for the market are: August 20, September 17, October 15, October 29, November 19, and December 17.
Ventura Flea Market – Ventura, CA
Over 500 vendors and 20+ antique stores are open 6 times a year for the Ventura Flea Market. Vendors can be found on the fair grounds and the nearby store are located on Main St. The next dates are September 24th and November 5th.
Springfield Antique Show and Flea Market – Springfield, OH
Springfield is MONTHLY! It is located on the Clark County Fairgrounds with over 2,000 vendors and 10,000+ people that attend. I wait and go to their extravaganzas in May and September. Their September show will take place this year on the 15, 16, and 17th. I may have taken off work in the past to be able to go on a Friday… it’s that good.
Brimfield Antique Show – Brimfield, MA
This takes place three times a year (May, July, September) and this September it will be held the 5th-10th. There are over 6,000!! vendors and an estimated 130,000 people that attend over the course of the week. “The Show” runs about a mile along Route 20 and on both sides of the road. There are 23 different fields that hold the thousands of vendors. Not every field is open everyday but there will still be plenty for you to see. Tip: Some fields charge admission. Other waive it at the end of the day. “Premium” fields are those that likely charge for admission and range about $5-6.
First Monday Trade Days – Canton, TX
This market occurs monthly, on the Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of each month. There are over 28 miles of vendors! The next dates are August 31 – September 3, September 28 – October 1, November 2 – 5th, and November 30- December 3rd.
This occurs twice a year and has over 350 vendors. This fall is their 20th Birthday Celebration and will take place September 26-30. There are 9 tents and 12 historic buildings where the vendors sell and it looks beautiful!
Sweet Salvage – Phoenix, AZ
I’ve been to this several times and wish I still lived in the area so I could go again! It is open monthly on the third Thursday every month with different themes. This gorgeous market will not only give you inspiration but you’ll score some amazing goods. There is no admission fee and no parking fee. The next dates are: August 17-20, September 21-24, October 19-22, and November 16-19.
Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market – Various
This is one of my absolute favorite markets. The line can be ridiculously long but luckily it is in air conditioning (in Arizona at least!) They initially only had the market in Scottsdale, AZ but have since expanded to Los Angeles and San Diego. The next date is in Scottsdale from September 15-17. Tickets are a little expensive, but if you ever get a chance to go, you won’t regret it!
Sunday at Sandwich Market – Sandwich, IL
Happening 5 Sundays a year, make sure you take one of those Sundays and check it out! One of my favorite things about this market is how it splits up one side for newer, handmade items and the other side for antiques over 20 years old. There is free parking and $5 admission. The next dates are: August 27 and October 8.
Scott Antique Markets – Various
I plan to attend this for the first time this year and I can’t wait! There are two locations in Ohio and one in Atlanta, GA.
The Atlanta show takes place monthly at the Atlanta Expo Center. There is a $5 admission fee and approximately 3,300 vendors. The next shows are: September 7-10, October 12-15, November 9-12, and December 7-10.
In Columbus, the state capital of Ohio, there are usually 5 shows per year. The next shows will be November 25-26 and December 16-17. There is free admission but $5 parking. Approximately 1,000 vendors will be in attendance.
The last of the markets is in Washington Court House, OH at Fayette County Fairgrounds, located on 50 acres. There are generally four per year at this location. The next shows will be August 25-27 and September 29-Oct 1. There is free parking and $1 admission.
Other great shows that should be mentioned:
Raleigh Flea Market – Raleigh, NC (open every weekend)
Sparks Antiques and Collectibles Flea Market – Sparks, KS (August 31- September 3)
Randolph Street Market & Chicago Antique Market – Chicago, IL (August 26-27, September 23-24, October 28-29)
Know of any that I missed? I know there are a ton more out there but I would be writing for days! Let me know if there are some that need to be mentioned!
