I was a little late to the game last year since I started blogging in May, so when I posted about blogger conferences, many of them had already occurred.
Starting the year fresh, here is a list of the majority of the 2018 blogger conferences I could find. Many of them that happened last year no longer exist so make sure to check out this updated list!
Have you ever attended any blogger conferences?
I really wish I could afford to go to this one. It’s a little pricy but sounds worth it! It is scheduled for September 13-16 in Lake Buena Vista, CA. Ticket prices range from $697-$1497. The website states, “At ACTIVATE 2018, you’ll walk away from our 2-day live event with a fully completed, working action plan that you can begin applying immediately, as you connect and network with other bloggers, and get direct feedback on the work you’ve been doing. It is a fully immersive experience that will bring more clarity, purpose, and direction to your blogging journey than you ever thought possible. ”
This is happening next month at The Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs, CA. Tickets went on sale in June and sold out in 2 hours, but they do have a waitlist. Make sure to sign up on their website for registration dates for 2019 since this sounds amazing!
From the website: “Alt Summit is THE premiere conference for creative entrepreneurs and stylish social media influencers. At our conferences, you’ll find classes and information for a broad range of skill levels. If you’ve already designed a successful line of products, if you opened your first Instagram account last month, if you’re a social media pro, or if you’re just thinking about starting a future blog, then Alt Summit is for you.”
August 10-11th in Loudon County, VA. Tickets range from $145-395. Beer and writing. Sounds perfect! The website states, “The Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference is now in its eighth year, having started with an initial conference in 2010 in Boulder, Colorado. The conference attracts approximately 150 attendees from throughout North America to network, learn, and taste beers.”
The conference is held every April in Philadelphia, PA. This year it will be April 28-29, with the actual conference taking place on the 29th. The site states, “The Blog Connect is a conference about blogging for mid-level bloggers who want to learn more about blogging and social media, connect with like-minded folks and are looking for some inspiration in their lives.”
This is quickly approaching, being held January 30-31st in New York City (location changes yearly). There are still tickets available for purchase that cost $205. BlogHer is well known for throwing amazing conferences and this one is no different. From the website: “Join us for a healthy conversation! This 1.5-day event for female content creators in the health & wellness space is a roadmap for living your best life through information, inspiration, and innovation.”
A popular conference for new bloggers, you need to apply to be considered to attend. Applications are accepted until February 1st. BlogHouse takes place May 31-June 3 in Memphis, TN (location changes yearly). From the website, “Participants spend time learning from mentors on a large variety of topics such as pitching and working with public relations and brands, writing, photography, social media, WordPress tips, monetization, and more. This is a low-stress, sincere environment which results in a unique mentoring experience.” Sounds awesome to me!
This conference is quickly approaching. It will be held April 18-20 in Kansas City, MO (the city changes yearly). The cost ranges from $179 to $699. The website states: “Our 3-day conference jam-packed with educational sessions, brand events and influencer interactions. The conference is designed for bloggers and microbloggers of all levels, and pets are welcome.”
August 4-5th in Las Vegas, NV. Tickets range from $105 to $307. This sounds so fun! Early bird pricing has ended but tickets are still available at a higher cost. At the SLS in Vegas, the website states, “The ConnectHER Media Conference is primarily an invitation-only event for Influencers, Brands, PR, Marketing and Entrepreneurs. This unique and exclusive event is designed to deliver rich content and facilitate direct interaction for those in attendance. #ConnectHER18 guests looking to learn and engage in the conversation. Our focus is on providing quality content in a unique environment where our guests are able to take the information from our event, straight to into their projects. #ConnectHER18 is more than just another conference, it’s an unforgettable experience! Join us!”
September 2018 in NYC during Fashion Week. The date of the conference has not been announced, nor has ticket prices. Sign up to receive updates here. This is marketed for plus size fashion bloggers. The website states, “theCURVYcon is a two day event that brings plus size Brands, Fashionistas, Shopaholics, Bloggers and YouTubers into one space, to chat curvy, shop curvy and embrace curvy. Come join us as we embrace our curves, do a little shopping, and tackle topics like confidence, fashion and style, health, fitness, dating, body positivity and everything in between!”
This conference is happening February 1-3, 2018 in New Orleans, LA. The price is $255 and includes breakfast and lunch. From the site, “The Dad 2.0 Summit is an annual conference where marketers, social media leaders, and blogging parents connect to discuss the changing voice and perception of modern fatherhood.”
This conference will be held October 4-6th in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX for $334. Prices will go up May 1st. The website states, “Declare is a Christian conference to equip and encourage women bloggers, writers, artists, online marketers, leaders, and disciplers to know God and make Him known through deep community. ”
The Design Bloggers Conference is taking place March 4-6 in Beverly Hills, CA. The cost to attend is $595. The website states: “The Design Bloggers Conference is the only conference specifically focused on the interests of interior design bloggers, interior designers using content to build their businesses and personal brands, brands leveraging the web and blogger networks, and any design professional seeking to learn more about using social and other digital content for branding, connecting, or ecommerce.”
Can I pretend I’m a food blogger and go to this?! This is happening May 10-12th in Layton, UT. Ticket prices start at $400. From the website, “Everything Food Conference is THE ultimate conference for food online content creators, bloggers, and influencers. At our conference, you will attend impactful and applicable presentations, network with future partners and strong brands, and socialize with old and new friends!”
Only 150 slots are available so register fast! The conference is scheduled for July 11-14 in Richmond, VA. The cost is $475. The site states that the “Focused Blogging Conference is a 3 1/2 day, hands-on conference for bloggers ready to take their blog to the next level with qualified bloggers, as their mentors that work along side limited attendees in an environment that promotes community.”
This conference sounds amazing! If I ever get more into home décor blogging, I would love to go to this! It is scheduled July 12-14 in Charleston, SC. Um, yes please! I could not find information for tickets, so I would recommend signing up for their email subscription. In 2017, the cost was $350. The website describes the weekend as, “Our conference brings 350 pro-bloggers together with over 100 sponsor representatives for a 3 day event. Sessions focus on improving skills in blogging, decorating, home improvement, photography, writing, social media, brand relationships, book writing, and more! Our conference began in 2012 and each year attracts the most notable DIY/Home bloggers in the blogosphere.”
This event is scheduled for April 17-19 in Miami, FL. Ticket prices range from $50 for students and up to $795 for marketers. The website states, “Hispanicize 2018 is expected to host more than 3,000 Latino trendsetters and newsmakers for a multi-industry program that will feature fully dedicated content tracks for digital creators, journalists, marketing executives, tech entrepreneurs and entertainment industry executives.”
Happening June 28-July 1 in Las Vegas, NV and guess what? It’s free! You will only be charged $50 if you cancel or don’t attend. You do need an invite to attend but there aren’t strict requirements. If you are a fitness blogger and wanting to go to Las Vegas… this sounds like a great time!
The conference is happening April 20-21 in Los Angeles, CA (changes yearly). Early bird registration is open until February 28th for $299 and goes up to $329 on March 1st. The site states, “Take a step away from your busy lives and join us April 20-21st in Los Angeles, California for three days filled with fun, laughter, exploration, education and delicious food. You’ll walk away with a stronger sense of community, enhanced skills, confidence in your business and maybe even a few extra pounds. If you’re willing to come, we’d LOVE to have you.”
This is scheduled for August 24-26th in New Orleans, LA. Have I mentioned that I think I should become a food blogger?! Ticket prices range from $295- $495. The website reports that, “Approximately 300 bloggers, writers, social media gurus, food company representatives, and others will gather to talk, eat, and learn. Come join us!”
If you read about the Dad 2.0 Summit and wished you were a father.. look no further if you’re a mom! This is set to take place May 2-4, 2018 in Pasadena, CA. Tickets start at $499 plus processing fees. The conference site states, “Mom 2.0 is a gathering of influencers and leaders who create content online and on air in parenting, entertainment, food, politics, business, marketing, technology, social change, travel and design.”
I was invited to the Phoenix, AZ conference last year but unfortunately couldn’t make it out there. There are multiple cities to go to throughout the year. Tickets range in price from $8-$129 (based on the San Diego, CA conference in April). From the site, “Pinners is two great events in one. It’s a conference featuring 100+ Pinterest-based classes taught by the best presenters in the nation. And it’s also a show with nearly 300 top businesses providing beautiful options in the worlds of DIY, crafts, cooking, self-improvement, photography, party planning, scrapbooking, holiday, beauty and fashion and all sorts of other great things. What’s Pinners? It’s where Pinterest comes to life. And after you come, it’ll be your new favorite event!”
This is scheduled for March 26 and 27th in San Diego, CA. Ticket prices range from $999 to $1699. It is pricy but appears to be worth it. I wish I could swing it! (And also visit San Diego!). Can’t make it to Cali? There is also one in Boston in June. What happens at this conference? From the site, “Power up your skills over two days, with cutting edge digital marketing presentations. From analytics and optimization, to content and paid promotions, all the crucial topics are covered.”
Set for February 1-3, 2018 in Irvine, CA. Prices start at $300. What is ShiftCon? “ShiftCon is an eco-wellness influencer conference focusing on food, wellness, health, sustainability and platform growth. Shifters are part of an online influencer community that seek healthier and more sustainable lives, promote brands that mirror their values, and help causes that speak to their soul. Our influencers span between newbies, light and deep green. Shift happens. Be part of it.”
A one day fashion/beauty conference in various cities, the first being in February in New York during fashion week. Prices range from $50-500. What is it? The website states, “SIMPLY NYC is a place to learn, network and get inspired as you enjoy a day full of panels and breakout sessions presented by the influencers who are making major waves in the worlds of fashion, beauty, blogging and tech. Cocktails, pampering, meet & greets and photo booth fun are always right around the corner, at our signature Brand Experience!”
SNAP! is held every April in Salt Lake City, UT and this year will be April 12-14th. Early bird tickets are already sold out and the next tier is $411. A note from the website, “A three-day conference held each April in Salt Lake City, Utah, targeting makers. We’re joined by the best bloggers representing modern handmade, contemporary craft, mind-blowing home-based events and DIY, along with dozens of creative entrepreneurs..”
This is scheduled for February 28 through March 2, 2018 in San Diego, CA. This is a more expensive one at $1347 but looks worth it! From the website, “Join 5,000 fellow marketers and creators at the mega-conference designed to empower you with business-building ideas—brought to you by Social Media Examiner.”
The conference is February 7-9 in Sea Island, GA. The location alone makes me want to attend! This is another that is a bit more expensive at $995. This conference is for, “online influencers • social media junkies • creative entrepreneurs • seasoned business owners • new business owners • bloggers.”
This will be held February 23-25th in Austin, TX. Ticket prices are $300 for general admission and $450 for VIP. The website states, “You’ll learn how to grow your pageviews using SEO, Pinterest, and Email Marketing. How to work with brands and create relationships with them that are beneficial to both parties. As well as how to create a brand that lasts, how to manage business finances and legalities, and more!”
This takes place March 1-4 in Long Beach, CA. Prices range from $199-$550. The summit is, ” is the go-to professional conference for Latina influencers and creative entrepreneurs and the only one of its kind.”
Well at this point I’m 99% sure I chose the wrong niche. Food and wine? I need to start writing about that! This is scheduled for October 4-7th in Walla Walla, WA. Prices range from $120-$420 through March 31st and then raise. From the site, “The Wine Bloggers Conference was one of the first niche blogging conferences in the world, was the first-ever large gathering of wine bloggers, and is the only such gathering in existence today. If you are a wine blogger/writer or want to meet wine bloggers, this is the event for you.”
So of course there are more out there – they seem to be a dime a dozen. I found a lot with links that were expired or the last conference was in 2015.. so obviously they didn’t succeed. The conferences listed above are those that appeared to be established and successful. Let me know if I missed any!
